Dear SkillsUSA Advisor, (Skills 2009-2010 #4)                 2 attachments with this message

1.  T-Shirt Design Challenge

2.  Agenda - Fall Conference

Item # 1: Fall Leadership Conference Agenda

Please see attached agenda for the 2009 SkillsUSA Maryland Fall Leadership Conference. Remind your students that this is a professional development conference and that behavior and dress is also professional. See dress code information on agenda.

Item #2: Important Fall Conference Ocean City Detour Information

As plans continue for the fall leadership conference please forward this important detour information to your transportation coordinator:

“All vehicles with a collective weight of 6,000 pounds or greater will not have access to the Route 90 bridge between Coastal Highway and the Isle of Wight, and will be directed to alternate routes. This weight is equivalent to a small, unloaded pickup truck not pulling a trailer. All common sedans meet the allowable weight criteria. Larger deliveries, trucks, school buses and other overweight vehicles will have to go around using the Route 50 bridge, or across Route 54 through Delaware.”

Don’t arrive late to the fall conference! Please make sure your bus driver(s) receives this important information.

Item #3: New! SkillsUSA Maryland T-Shirt Design Challenge

To allow more student members the opportunity to create tee shirt designs proudly worn and displayed by the SkillsUSA Maryland state delegation attending next summer’s annual SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference (NLSC) your Board of Directors is introducing a new t-shirt design challenge. The selected design will be seen by tens of thousands of SkillsUSA members, business partners and spectators at the NLSC in Kansas City, MO. Please see attached instructions for details.
